Our RV Park Model has a Suburban Water Heater Model SW16VE Stock No. 5082 and Serial No. 222303935. More below: Suburban Water Heater SW16VE (Direct Spark Ignition-Gas/Electric) 5082A New Water Heaters
We had this new Park Model for 4 years and just experience a situation which could have burned down our entire trailer. The electrical area which is covered by a black plastic cover just melted and in taking the cover off, I can see that the wires shorted and melted. Can I still run the gas part and keep the electric piece off (there is an "on/off" switch for electric us and gas use). Can I just replace the electrical component and is this covered under warranty?
